I salvaged a large, metal 7up sign from the 1970s today. It's embossed with a lot of it's color still in tact. Should be an easy re-sell. Although, it would look pretty cool above my soda bar!

Restoration.
While I don't like to do a whole lot to original vintage finds, every now and then you have to do a little restoration. Pictured is a little upholstery project.
Vintage barn ladder.
I sold this wooden barn ladder to an old buddy of mine. My wife instantly missed it, so I acquired another one a few weeks later. Happy wife happy life!
Persistence... and stupidity.
It took me three years to buy this Alemite lubrication display rack from a guy. It was buried in a shed. It wasn't that he didn't want to sell it to me... it was just neither of us wanted to put in the time it was going to take to dig the thing out.
We are so stupid... we eventually dug it out of the shed one freezing cold January evening.
If you build it... they will buy it a greater price.
I have a huge addiction for vintage industrial junk. This magazine rack project was one of my favorites.
I salvaged the legs to an old table of sorts, along with an old wire basket. The two just happened to fit together perfectly. A little bit of rustic twine to hold the basket to the table frame and wha-la! Magazine rack/end table. I loved this one. It was hard to sell.
Sold for $120
